Articulation Programs

Edinboro University of Pennsylvania currently has articulation agreements with several area school districts, allowing future Edinboro University students to earn college credit for high school courses.  Because students earn these tuition-free credits before they ever set foot on Edinboro's campus, this is a wonderful opportunity to save time and money!  Depending on the high school, students can earn as many as 16 Edinboro credits through articulation programs alone, with the potential to earn additional credits through Advanced Placement examinations.  Most Edinboro students receiving articulation credit have excelled following their full time enrollment at the University.

By taking a required course sequence in one or more high school subject areas, such as English, mathematics, science, history and foreign languages, students can receive credit for related Edinboro University course(s).  Typically, the required high school course sequence would include at least some honors, accelerated and/or Advanced Placement level course work.

These articulation agreements have been forged after a process of careful deliberation and collaborative efforts between officials from Edinboro University and area school districts.  Due to differences in secondary school curricula, respective agreements should be consulted to determine specific details, including high school courses required, minimum grade requirements, as well as Edinboro courses to be articulated.  All agreements state that in order to receive Edinboro University credit, the student must enroll at Edinboro within two years of graduation from high school.  To receive equivalent credit, an official high school transcript must be submitted for review to the Edinboro Undergraduate Admissions Office as part of the regular application procedure.  Students interested in earning credit through these articulation agreements should consult their guidance counselor to carefully schedule the appropriate courses beginning in ninth grade.
