Blackboard Summer 2008

SUMMER 2008:
Courses will run on a different server while the server with the Blackboard 7.3 is being prepared. This is being done to eliminate as much downtime to the sytem as possible while summer classes are being taught. Usernames and passwords will remain the same. Please click on the appropriate link to access your blackboard courses.
Fall 2008:
This server is available for faculty to prepare their fall 2008 blackboard course shells. For teaching summer 2008 courses use the Summer 2008 server. This server will be available to faculty until the end of november so that courses may be archived and copied to the Fall 2008 server once the Summer 2008 semester has ended.
Blackboard 7.3 Upgrade
During Summer 2008, PASSHE will upgrade the Blackboard servers to version 7.3.
Notes:

All summer courses will run on a temporary system until the primary blackboard servers are upgraded.

The temporary Summer system will run version 7.0 and will have a copy of all spring data from the spring production system as of 4/11/2008.

Any courses which were modified after 4-11-2008 AND the content needs to be copied over for summer; must be archived and then copied into your summer course. For assistance with this, please call the Learning Technology Center at X1033. If your content is not needed until the Fall Semester, there is no need to do anything. However, it is always in the best interest for Faculty to archive their courses.

The upgraded Blackboard 7.3 will be available Early to Mid July for development and preparation of FALL 2008 Courses.
