Setting Up a VPN Connection on XP

  • Review the Service Guide for requesting a VPN connection and submit the request
  • On your PC running XP, Click Start
  • Settings
  • Network Connections
  • Right Click/Open
  • Create New Connection
  • New Connection Wizard will launch
  • Network Connection Type - Select Connect to the Network at my Workplace
  • Network Connection - Select Virtual Private Network Connection
  • Connection Name  -  Call it EUP VPN, it really doesn't matter.

  • Public Network  -  You can set up to dial your regular ISP automatically before connecting to the EUP VPN. This saves you from doing it in 2 separate steps. If you want to dial the VPN separately choose Do not dial the initial connection. If you want it to be automatic (recommended) choose Automatically dial initial connection and chose your regular ISP dialup connection that you should already have in place from the drop-down window.

  • VPN Server Selection  -  Type in 147.64.250.10 for IP address.

  • Connection Available  -  Choose My use only.

  • That's it, Click Finish
