Edinboro's Wi Fi Network - "SCOTAIR"

The Networks and Telecommunications Department at Edinboro University is committed to deploying 802.11b/g wireless technology across campus to allow highly mobile computing for both students and staff. Over the past few years we have steadily increased WiFi coverage to areas commonly frequented by students, staff and faculty.

What does all this really mean? It means that it is getting easier for students and staff to stay connected. Instead of being tethered to a desk or lab machine to utilize the campus network, mobile access may now be obtained in lounges, dining areas, classrooms, offices and many outdoor areas. Access to network resources and the ability to stay in touch with faculty, family and friends just got a little easier.

Clean Access:

The Networks and Telecommunications Department has implemented CLEAN ACCESS campus-wide for accessing the EUP Scotair wireless network. It provides system scanning and remediation services at time of login to be sure your Windows PC is up-to-date for anti-virus software, hotfixes and Windows updates so as to not negatively impact other network users. Please click HERE for more information and Frequently Asked Questions about Clean Access.

If your PDA or Notebook is equipped with an 802.11g card then you will be able to take advantage of these new higher speeds. We plan to expand deployment of wireless technology as budgets allow.
